Macy’s Logistics & Operations Distribution Center Supports Sustainable Mattress Recycling

Macy’s Logistics & Operations Distribution Center partnered with LRP Contractors to remove 12 full mattresses, 15 queen mattresses, 25 king mattresses and 4 king box springs from its facility.

LRP Contractors coordinated the removal, loading, transportation and responsible processing of all 56 items. Our team helped the distribution center complete the project efficiently while minimizing disruption to its daily operations.

Commercial removal projects require careful planning, reliable scheduling and proper handling of materials. After the items were removed, recoverable components such as steel, foam, wood and textiles were directed to appropriate recycling facilities rather than being sent directly to landfills.
