Renaissance Pittsburgh Hotel partnered with LRP Contractors for the removal and responsible processing of 15 full box springs, 14 queen mattresses, 18 queen box springs, 20 king mattresses and 14 king box springs during a property improvement project.
Our team coordinated the removal process to help keep the renovation organized, efficient and on schedule. Each item was removed from the property and directed to the appropriate recycling or disposal facility based on its condition and material composition.
Hotel renovations involve more than moving old furniture and equipment out of guest rooms. They require careful scheduling, dependable crews, proper material handling and coordination with hotel management, renovation teams and other vendors. LRP Contractors provides the project support needed to keep these moving parts working together.
Whenever possible, recoverable materials such as steel, foam, wood and fabric were separated from the waste stream. This allowed Renaissance Pittsburgh Hotel to complete an important property upgrade while reducing the amount of material sent to landfills.
Project Impact
81 mattresses and box springs removed
9,628 pounds of material diverted from landfills
81,000 gallons of water conserved
486 days of household energy preserved
648 tanks of gas saved
This project demonstrates how experienced FF&E coordination can help hotels complete renovations efficiently while supporting responsible material management.
