TownePlace Suites Estero Strengthens Sustainability Through Mattress Recycling

TownePlace Suites Estero partnered with LRP Recycling to responsibly remove and recycle 51 queen mattresses and 85 king mattresses as part of a property upgrade initiative. This project reflects the hotel's commitment to sustainability while continuing to provide a comfortable and modern experience for guests.
Through LRP Recycling’s commercial mattress recycling program, valuable materials such as steel, foam, and textiles were recovered and diverted from landfills. By choosing responsible recycling over disposal, TownePlace Suites Estero helped reduce environmental impact and support Marriott’s sustainability efforts.
Environmental Impact:
13,861 pounds of material diverted from landfills
136,000 gallons of water conserved
816 days of household energy preserved
1,088 tanks of gas saved
